All candles are enjoyable and they can brighten up your home and fill it with a rich scent of your choice. There are a lot of different types of candles that are made with different types of waxes. Candles are made of paraffin wax, beeswax, and soy wax just to name a few. And today we are going to compare beeswax candles to soy wax candles so that you will know what the differences are. So let’s get started.

One of the biggest differences of the two types of candle wax is the price. Beeswax is so much more expensive than soy wax. Beeswax candles can be up to 6 times the price of soy candles depending on where you buy them from and this is why soy has become so popular in the last decade.

Another advantage that soy wax candles have over beeswax candles is that soy wax is much easier to clean up. If some wax gets spilled or is crushed on the floor soy wax can be easily cleaned up with a bit of soap and a damp cloth. Beeswax can be a nightmare if it has been allowed to dry. You will have to chip at the hardened wax and even then it may be too late for you to save whatever the wax was spilled on.

Both candles are natural and will last longer than paraffin candles. Both of these types of wax are also better for the environment and will release minimal toxins and black smoke. In terms of which candle will last longer when burned though beeswax will last longer but not by much. Both candles last a long time when they are burned but beeswax probably because it is so much harder than soy wax lasts about 10% longer when lit.

Soy candles if they are scented will smell richer and have a smell that is more natural than a beeswax candle. The scent will fill the house at a better rate and they won’t smell fake. The natural smell of the soy candle wax alone is enough to make someone choose the soy over the beeswax.

Candles are a great way to light up your home and if they are scented it is a wonderful greeting for any guest. Soy candles are so much cheaper than beeswax candles and they almost last as long when burned. The soy candle wax smells so much better too when it is scented; the soy wax adds a richness to the smell and releases the fragrance at a better rate. If you have spilled beeswax on a piece of furniture then it can be trouble. Beeswax is extremely hard to successfully remove without damaging the fabric that it was spilled on. Beeswax last a bit longer than soy candles but when you compare the prices between the two types of wax it doesn’t make sense to buy beeswax because of this reason. Soy candles are the better value and are just as good as beeswax candles.

Making candles is relatively easy, but without a proper wick your candle will not burn properly. Most wicks are string with a waxy coating, but there are other important details you must know about them.

The Purpose Of A Wick

Wicks are designed to allow the candles to burn. The flame stays relatively constant and gently melts the candle around it. Candle wicks are an art unto them, and very carefully made to ensure that they are rigid and long lasting. The design of a wick can influence the entire candle.

The History of A Candle Wick

Originally wicks were probably made from any source that people could use. Some suggest that they were braches or other wooden things with a coating of wax. Cotton wicks were commonly found in oil lamps that were used in the middle ages as lamps. The modern wick wasn’t invented or used until around the 1800s. One day a man named Jean-Jacques Cambaraceres learned that braiding a wick allows it to burn more efficiently than plain cotton alone. Around this time candle wicks were actually made with a lead center but that quickly became a problem due to lead poisoning issues.

Creation of A Candle Wick

Candle wicks are more efficient when woven. After they are properly braided they are treated with special ingredients to ensure that the cord doesn’t burn up entirely. If it were not treated then the candle wick would basically burn away immediately. This special process allows them to burn slowly and steadily. Different candle designs require special formulations of the wick to ensure that it doesn’t get damaged while the candle is burning.

Sizing Of A Candle Wick

Wicks are quite important for homemade candles. While most candle makers buy their wicks pre-made, some people prefer to make them. A properly sized wick will ensure that the candle burns evenly, slowly, and at the right angle to keep the candle safe. Thick wicks are able to burn quickly, but that isn’t desirable.

Types of Wicks

There are many types of wicks that have been designed. Over 100 different styles are used in various candles sold by retailers. Flat wicks, square wicks, cored wicks, and oil lamp wicks are the main types that are used in various candle types. Each one is designed specifically for a type of candle that allows it to burn at its optimum efficiency.

The Holiday season brings so much fun and joy. Parties and family get-togethers dot the calendar. In between parties you face the task of finding the perfect gift for your best friend. She has everything. What will you get that will show you care and yet be something that is truly useful? Consider purchasing a handmade candle for friends and family alike.

A handmade soy candle is a great way to say you care. Everyone loves candles, with the fragrance filling the air. Handmade candles are a high quality item that costs less than most gadgets made overseas. A candle made in the USA by a craftsman will cost less that most of those as seen on TV products which are nothing but plastic and usually don’t work nearly as well in real life.

A handmade soy candle is a quality gift that is warm, pretty and lasts a long time. Our soy wax candles are made with only the finest uncut fragrance oils and 100% soy wax. Soy wax burns cleaner and longer than paraffin wax. Our handmade candles come in a variety of styles, colors and aroma to please any taste. A few weeks after Christmas, when many other gifts have broken or are hiding in the closet, the handmade candle you gave to your best friend will still be sitting on the kitchen counter. It will be burning gently adding warmth and fragrance to her home.

A fine, handmade candle can be purchased for less than fifteen dollars. Soy wax melts that are used with a candle warmer are even less. Imagine a handmade gift of the finest ingredients that will make your friend or family member smile. No sizes to have to worry about. Just light the wick and enjoy.

Everyone loves candles. A 100% soy handmade candle is a personal gift that tells your friend that you really care. The biggest problem you will have picking out a candle will be what flavor to choose. Handmade candle aromas range from pine to cinnamon and everything in between. We have candles for the kitchen, candles for relaxing in the tub and Aromatherapy candles. If you are not comfortable with a burning flame, choose a soy wax melt. Basically a wickless candle the wax is melted in a candle warmer and releases fragrance into the air.

What could be more personal and caring than a 100% soy wax handmade candle? Look through our large variety of candles for one or two that are just right. A Handmade candle is the perfect, warm Christmas gift for everyone on your list.

Wax melts are a fantastic new way to enjoy the wonderful fragrance of 100% soy wax candles in areas where an open flame would not be safe or acceptable. Perhaps a candle would be a pleasant and calming effect at work, but open flames are not allowed. Now you can have the wonderful scent of a candle without the flame.

A wax melt is a wick-less candle that is melted in a wax melt warmer. Candle wax melt warmers are powered by electricity and heat the candle soy wax. As the soy wax melts the fragrance oil in the wax is released. The candle wax melt warmer produces no flame so it is safe and easy to use.

Soy wax melts come in many fragrances and are easy to use. When you are done using the candle wax melt, just turn the wax melt warmer off. The next time you are back in that room, just turn it back on and the wax melt will begin to fill the air again with fragrance.

As with normal wick candles, the secret to obtaining the best scent is in the quality of the ingredients. We use only the finest 100% soy wax in our candle wax melts. Our fragrance oils are chosen from only the best and are never cut or blended with other oils or fillers. The finest candle wax melts are made with only uncut fragrance oils. Pure uncut fragrance oils produce the best scent through out your house or workplace. Before we pour any candles or wax melts, our fragrance oils are blended with the soy wax. This ensures that the candle wax melt will release the fragrance oil evenly over the life of the wax melt. Also, our candles and wax melts are handmade which ensures the highest quality craftsmanship.

An advantage of 100% soy wax wick candles are that they are very clean burning, and give off far less black soot than paraffin wax candles. However, because wax melts are not burned, our candle wax melts do not give off any soot. This can be an advantage for those people who are sensitive to any kind of burning flame. Now you can have the wonderful fragrance without any smoke or soot.

Our candle wax melts are made only from 100% soy wax. Soy wax is a recent development and is environmentally friendly. Made from hydrogenated soybean oil, soy wax supports American farmers and produces one more great use for the miracle soybean. Soy wax has been shown to be cleaner burning and longer lasting than other common candle making material. Be sure to choose only 100% soy wax when purchasing candles and wax melts.

Handmade candles are generally considered the highest value in candles. Quality is king when it comes to candles. When a customer purchases a candle, the decision is always a mixture of emotion and cool calculation. Everybody likes to get a good deal, but a poor quality candle is not worth any money saved. A common perception of a candle is a warm, relaxing light accompanied by a pleasant scent that evokes calmness. Often candles are associated with memories of holidays past with an image of a flickering flame and enticing smells from the kitchen.

The reality is that all candles are not equal. A customer might purchase a candle and find that the end result is not what they expected. Perhaps, the candle burns a steady flickering of soot. The aroma from the candle may be less than expected or perhaps not a pleasing scent. These lower quality, machine-made candles are sometimes the end result of a process focused on cost cutting and time savings. A hand made candle is more likely to be a work done with care and attention to detail.

As with many items, the value in a handmade candle is found in the attention to detail that comes with craftsmanship. The most prized pottery and silver work are not those made by machine, but those pieces made by hand. Craftsmanship is the mark of a master and a hand made candle is part of that long tradition. A craftsman cares about quality and will take the time to make sure that each piece is special.

Quality in all things is the only way to ensure the end result is the best candle money can buy. Only the finest 100% soy wax will produce a clean burning candle. A handmade candle is a product that has been manufactured by a person who takes the time to verify that each part of the candle making process is going exactly right. A craftsman ensures that the wax is blended properly and is poured at just the right temperature. Experience with the craft is what creates true quality and the best end result.

Candles manufactured in a factory are made from ingredients that have been processed and mixed by machine. When wax and fragrance oil are blended by machine, the factory candle maker may not take the extra moment to ensure that the fragrance has been fully mixed with the wax in order to obtain the best result when burning.

Whether discussing the ingredients in the candle or the process by which the candle is made, quality is the key to a positive customer experience. A handmade candle made from the finest 100% soy wax and uncut fragrance oils offers the best possible value. The end result is sure to be a pleasant experience.

We really do have the best soy candle available anywhere. In order to produce these exceptional candles, we use only the finest fragrance oils and the highest quality one hundred percent soy wax. Each of our fine candles is handmade to ensure the finest craftsmanship possible. Shopping for candles can be a frustrating experience. They all smell good and the colors are enticing. How can the consumer know what kind of experience a candle will provide?

In candles, it really is the quality of the ingredients which will produce the best experience.
By using the very best fragrance oils and only one hundred percent soy wax, we are able to produce a candle that will fill your entire home with wonderful fragrance while at the same time burning cleaner and longer than other candles. The best soy candles are manufactured by hand using age old techniques which ensure the finest result possible Friends and relatives will be pleasantly surprised at how your home seems filled with wonderful smells.

Cheaper candles are made in massive quantities in factories where machines control the manufacturing process. Often these large mass produced candles are made using fragrance oils that have been cut with other oils. When the oil in the candle is cut or blended with other oils, the fragrance is reduced. Our candles are the best soy candles available and are made only with the finest un-cut fragrance oils which is why our candle scents last so long.

In addition, only the best soy candles have fragrance oil blended throughout the wax before the candle is hand poured. In order to make sure the fragrance lasts the full life of the candle, we blend the fragrance oil with the soy wax before pouring. In this way, we ensure that our candles will remain highly fragrant the entire time they burn. Some manufacturers only put fragrance oil into the top of the candle. This saves money for the manufacturer but reduces the amount of scent the candle will produce. Once the top third of the candle has burned, the scent from the candle is gone.

When shopping for candles, remember the following tips. Look for one hundred percent soy wax. Soy wax burns longer and cleaner than any other type of candle wax. Look for un-cut fragrance oils and look for candles in small batches.

Only the best soy candles are made from uncut fragrance and one hundred percent soy wax. Cheaper candle makers cut corners by cutting fragrance oil and using soy wax that has been blended with paraffin wax. Our candles are made from the finest ingredients available. Our waxes are one hundred percent pure soy wax and are never cut or blended. Demand only the best soy candle available

Scented soy candles have become very popular over the last decade. This is in large part to the advantages of soy wax over other types of candlemaking wax. Curious about how a scented soy jar candle is made? This article describes the candlemaking process, points out the advantages of a scented soy candle and gives some tips on what to look for when purchasing a scented soy candle.

As with so many products, the quality of the ingredients going into the manufacturing process have a large impact on the final product. A standard jar candle begins with a clean, glass jar, 100% soy wax, a wick, any desired color and uncut scented oils. A scented soy candle can be made with soy wax that has been blended with paraffin and other types of wax, however, blended wax reduces the benefits of the soy wax. Scented soy candles made from 100% soy wax burn longer and cleaner than paraffin or beeswax candles. Choose 100% soy wax for the highest quality candle experience.

To make a candle, the soy wax is melted until it becomes a liquid. At this point, fragrance and any desired color is added to the wax. This ensures that the fragrance and color are uniformly distributed throughout the candlewax. Regarding fragrance, candles like the ones sold here at CandleMarketplace.com are made with uncut fragrance oil. Uncut means that the fragrance is in a pure state and not blended with any other oils. Uncut fragrance oils produce the highest quality scented soy candles.

Before the wax is poured in poured in the jar, the wick is inserted into the jar. The wick has a bit of adhesive to hold it in the center of the jar. The soy wax is poured into the jar and because the ingredients have all been premixed, the candle cools to a uniform color and scent. As the wax cools, the wick is supported in the middle if the jar using a wire or wooden stick. This ensures that the wick maintains it’s position in the in the center of the candle during the cooling process.

When purchasing a scent soy candle, look for 100% soy wax and uncut frangrance oils. These two factors have a large impact on the quality of the candle. When burning, these candles will produce a very pleasant fragrance with very little soot. Take the time to read and learn about the ingredients used in any scented soy candle you purchase. The quality of the ingredients really do influence the final product.

Candles have been a central part of life for thousands of years. Seen burning in churches, homes and shops, candles are enjoyed the world over. For some people candles evoke memories of holidays past and time spent with family. Others find solace and relaxation in the glow and scent of a candle. Long after electricity brought light to the darkness of night, candles remain popular. During the holiday season, it seems that candles are everywhere. Television ads for everything from jewelry to perfume are filmed with a backdrop of burning candles.

Over the centuries candles have changed a great deal as technological improvements provided new materials and manufacturing techniques. Once upon a time, a standard wax candle was made from beeswax. Centuries ago, candles burning in churches and homes deposited black soot on ceilings and walls. When the Sistine chapel ceiling was cleaned a number of years ago, most of the dirt was reported to have been a thick coating of black soot. The smoke from centuries of burning candles had covered up Michelangelo’s beautiful paintings.

Over the years, candle makers have searched for new methods and materials that would allow cleaner burning candles. Beeswax has had to make room for whale oil, tallow and paraffin wax among many others. Recently however, a new candlemaking breakthrough was unveiled. Soy wax candles are now considered the next big thing in candlemaking technology.

According to the National Candle Association, all candles are made from some type of hydrocarbon and all produce some sort of soot. Among all the different types of candles, a soy wax candle is among the cleanest. Visibly identical to any other wax candle, soy wax candles can be molded, shaped and colored like any other material. When burning, a soy wax candle emits much less smoke than a typical paraffin wax candle.

Soy wax candles are made from hydrogenated soybean oil. Developed less than twenty years ago, soy wax is the latest breakthrough in modern candlemaking. Soy wax candles have been tested and shown to be cleaner burning than typical paraffin wax candles. Soy wax candles hold fragrance very well. Finally, Soy wax candles burn slower than paraffin or beeswax candles. This increases the value of the candle.

People with respiratory health problems sometimes complain that it is difficult to be around paraffin and other standard wax candles. The soot produced by a standard paraffin candle can sometimes make breathing difficult. However, soy wax candles burn cleaner and many people sensitive to candle soot have reported that soy wax candles do not bother them.

All soy candles are not alike. Soy wax can be used as the sole ingredient, or can be blended with paraffin or beeswax. Be sure to check how much soy is used in any soy wax candle you purchase. The higher the soy wax content, the cleaner and longer lasting the candle.

As if all these benefits were not enough, soy wax costs less to produce than other types of candle wax. Since it is made from a renewable source, it also supports soybean farmers. The soybean is one of nature’s miracles producing food, oil, fuel and now candles. Soy wax candles have become the new standard for cleaner burning and long lasting candles.
